ABNORMALLY NORMAL is a Fiscally Sponsored project of IFP MN, a 501(c)(3) non-profit media arts organization. IFPmn.org originally became a fiscal sponsor for the demo-pilot, "Just Breathe," with a $75,000 cap on fundraising. Afterwards, scripts for six seasons were drafted, while the first two seasons were given most attention.The first season of "AbNoRMaLLy NoRmaL" consists of 11 episodes, totalling 440 pages of script! Development and pre-production are thoroughly laid out, 28 pieces of original music have been produced for rehearsal purposes, and script breakdowns, shooting schedule, special effects and much more have already been accomplished.
When IFPmn.org's Executive Director of 25 years, Jane Minton, was presented with the work completed thus far, she approved a tremendous raise to our fundraising amount--from the original $75,000 on the demo-pilot to $500,000.00 to start the series!!! Now, we are returning to our own beloved project, "AbNoRMaLLy NoRmaL," and we are ready to re-instigate our efforts in funding this great series that will put tens of dozens to work in the film, theatrical and music industries in Minnesota for many months, and even years to come.
Smokin Yogi Visions and Shift Happens Production's company mission both are ‘Healing through Storytelling’~for in telling our own stories, we allow others to share theirs, as well. For the past six years, I have been creating video productions of my own and others scripts in both documentary and narrative storytelling. All have had the theme (except one) of 'Healing through Storytelling,' with one project winning Best Educational Feature Film at the 2010 Int'l Family Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.
