Volunteering & Internships
IFP Minnesota’s daily operations and community events are made possible by numerous hours of volunteer time. The assistance of volunteers and interns is invaluable to IFP’s small staff.
Volunteer Benefits and Requirements
Volunteers are rewarded through membership and discounts on equipment and facility rentals and classes. After 30 hours of volunteer time, volunteers receive a one-year Individual Level membership, a 50% discount on equipment and facilities rentals, and a 40% discount off the member rate for classes and workshops.
In order to remain active in the program and retain your volunteer discounts, you must maintain a minimum of 20 hours every three months. Volunteers must also commit to a three-month minimum tenure. Candidates do not need to be students to apply to volunteer, but these benefits and guidelines also apply to full-time students seeking internships.
