JOB OPPORTUNITY: Minneapolis Media Institute is looking for a video professional to teach an Editing and Production class, with hands-on, in-class video editing work and lectures on general productions terms. The class uses Premiere Pro but anyone with at least 5 years of professional video editing experience in a major software (Avid, FCP) will be considered. The class begins Friday, Feb 10 and runs for 15 weeks, from 12:45pm to 5:15pm each week.

PRODUCTION TEAM WANTED: Dynamic and innovative production team needed to take on a unique film documentary project. It will focus on how the indigenous Oromo women of Ethiopia deal with peace-making, domestic violence prevention and check-and-balance formation for their people. The intention is to inspire and empower women in dealing with peace at home and in their communities. The initial shoot will take place on February 25 & 26, 2012. Twin Cities filmmaker Jim Tittle has made 20 short videos about the new silica mining "gold rush" in our region.
