Dear IFP MN members, friends and supporters,
Recently we announced that Andrew Peterson is joining IFP as our Interim Executive Director. Andrew is well respected and known both locally and nationally for his strong creative, operational and managerial skills and career accomplishments in film and media.
Andrew’s move to IFP MN has been met with enthusiasm among the local and national media arts community. “Andrew is an excellent choice,” said Craig Rice, producer of film, television & music, and former Executive Director of the Minnesota Film & TV Board. “Andrew is an artist and a leader, and he’ll bring innovation and energy during this transition,” added Rice. Producer Christine Walker (The Convincer, Howl, Life During Wartime) echoed these sentiments, remarking “I have worked with Andrew for many years and I know that he will carry on the tradition of strong advocacy for filmmakers that IFP MN has embodied over the years.” From New York, IFP Executive Director Joana Vicente said, "IFP MN is a great organization and is lucky to have Andrew Peterson taking the helm. Our Head of Programming Amy Dotson and I know that Andrew's combination of extensive festival and production experience is going to light it up, and help IFP MN get ready for its next chapter. Thank you and kudos to Jane Minton and the entire IFP MN staff for their years of support of our fantastic community."
Andrew will join the staff at the beginning of September. We deeply appreciate your support as IFP undergoes structural and programmatic changes to meet the challenges of the current economy and evolution in the media arts field.
Thank you,
Executive Committee,
IFP Board of Directors
