Statue of David seeking Cast & Production Help: Coeur De Lion is now accepting submissions for its Independent movie “Statue of David” that will be shooting in March 2010.

Movie Synopsis
Retired FBI profiler, Saul Aitken, is called out by an old friend to assist in a serial killer investigation. In the course of which, he is kidnapped from his hotel room by the very killer he's been tasked to seek. He wakes up to find himself in an abandoned farmhouse and the killer is revealed as teenaged boy named David. While law enforcement desperately hunts for their location, David engages Aitken in a battle of wits. He must bring his profiling skills to bear to stop David from killing again. As the challenge evolves, it becomes a character study of youth run amok. In a world where attention is paramount, David is the tragic product.

CAST: We are looking for a lot of different characters, cast breakdown below, although it does not cover all roles that we have available so please submit even if you do not fit criteria below. You may submit your headshot and resume via the mail to 2438 Lexington Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113. Please make sure to include all contact info and links to any Facebook or MySpace type pages that we may need to reference for additional photos. This movie will fall under SAG’s Ultra Low Budget Agreement, which is open to Union and Non-Union talent.

Character Breakdown
MARIANNE - 40's, wife to Aitken. She has managed to distance herself from the ugliness of her husband's profession and in the course of the movie has to confront it and come to terms.

MIKE - 40's, police detective/county sheriff, a straightforward outdoorsman type. Quietly intuitive, he has a love interest with Rachel.

FASSERNACHT - 50's, police chief, an old friend of Aitken who asks him to get involved with a case as a favor. Jovial, coarse, he comes to regret his decision and blames himself for what happens.

DAVID'S MOTHER - late 30's/early 40's - flaky, brittle, a wasp type who lives in denial.

DAVID'S FATHER - 40's, counterpoint to his wife, a lawyer who understands how things work and is able to be objective.

BOYLE - may or may not be involved in law enforcement, but works as a researcher on the case. Snide, dismissive, he is nevertheless both bright and effective.
